\nEE itself is not an immigration program, but a selection system. It manages three programs:
\nFederal Skilled Worker (FSW) (commonly used by overseas applicants), Canadian Experience Class (CEC) (for those with Canadian work experience), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST).<\/p>\n
B: Score:
\nThe system scores participants according to the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) (out of 1200 points) and sends invitations from highest to lowest score. There is no "crossing the line"; it only depends on the number of invitations received that month and the lowest score.
\nKey to high scores: Language and academic credentials verification
\n \u2022 Language: English (IELTS General Training\/CELPIP) is the core requirement. Theoretically, a CLB 9 (IELTS Listening 8.5, Reading 7.0, Writing and Speaking 7.0) is required to be competitive. Speaking French (NCLC 7) can add up to 62 points.
\n \u2022 Educational background: Overseas educational backgrounds must be certified by a designated institution through an ECA (Education Certificate Accreditation) process; otherwise, they will not be counted towards the score.
\n\u2022 Required entry threshold: The minimum requirements for entering the pool
\n A high score alone is not enough; you must first meet the minimum requirements for the corresponding program. Taking the most commonly used FSW as an example: one year of continuous full-time work experience within the last 10 years (in the same NOC occupation), language proficiency of CLB 7, high school diploma or above, and a score of 67 out of 100 in six categories.
\n\u2022 Current competitive landscape (trends for 2026)
\n \u2022 The standard invitation score is extremely high: invitations across all categories typically require 520-550 points. A single applicant under 29 years old with a master's degree, IELTS CLB 9, and 3 years of work experience, with a total score of approximately 480 points, still finds it difficult to receive a direct invitation.
\n \u2022 Targeted invitations offer a greater chance of success: Those with French language skills (usually requiring 350-450 points to receive an invitation) or those working in designated in-demand occupations such as healthcare, skilled trades, transportation, and agri-food will have significantly lower score requirements.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
