Cyprus Business Visa

Migration Program Details & Application

Program Overview

The key to applying for a Cyprus business visa is that the invitation letter must be notarized locally and confirmed with the embassy in advance, which is quite different from a regular Schengen visa. Below is a complete summary of information for your reference.

Project Description

Cyprus business visas are issued to foreign nationals traveling to Cyprus for short-term business activities (such as meetings, negotiations, and contract signings). The stay is usually limited to 90 days, and the visa fee is €80 (approximately RMB 750).

Eligibility & Requirements

Application requirements

According to the embassy's requirements, applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria and prepare the following core materials:

1. Personal Basic Information

• Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months longer than the date of return to China. Copies of the first page, signature page, and all visa/stamp pages are required.
• Photo: A recent (within 6 months) color photo with a white background, size recommended as 4x5cm (or 3.5x4.5cm).
• Identification documents: Original and photocopies of ID card and household registration book (all non-blank pages must be photocopied).
• Financial proof: Bank statements for the past 3-6 months, with a balance sufficient to cover the trip (sufficient balance is recommended, or approximately €100 per day). Property/vehicle ownership can be used as supplementary documentation.

2. Proof of employment

• Employment certificate/dispatch letter: in English, printed on company letterhead, proving the position, monthly salary, purpose of the trip and who will bear the expenses, and guaranteeing timely return to the home country.
• Business license: A photocopy with the company seal affixed.

3. Invitation documents from the Cypriot side (most crucial)

• Invitation letter: Must be issued by the Serbian company, and the original must include details of both parties, the purpose of the visit, and the itinerary.
• Letter of Guarantee: Signed by the Serbian company, guaranteeing compliance with the law.
• Important Notes: Some institutions require the invitation letter to be notarized (certified) in Cyprus. It is strongly recommended that the inviting party send a scanned copy directly or by fax to the Cypriot Embassy in China in advance.

4. Itinerary and Insurance

• Flight/Hotel Bookings: Round-trip bookings and hotel reservations for the entire trip (it is recommended to pay after the visa is issued).
• Insurance: Must cover Cyprus, with medical coverage of no less than 30,000 euros (approximately 300,000 RMB), and must cover the risk of COVID-19.

Application Process & Advice

suggestion

1. Pay attention to the convenience of the Schengen Area: If you hold a valid double or multiple-entry Schengen visa and have already used the visa to enter the Schengen Area, you can usually enter Cyprus visa-free.
2. Allow sufficient time: The official processing time is approximately 8-15 business days, but it may be extended during document verification or peak periods. It is recommended to submit your application as early as possible.
3. Details of proof of funds: Bank statements should ideally include the word "salary" and the balance should be at least 30,000 to 50,000 yuan or enough to cover all expenses.
4. Accompaniment for Submission and Interview: Currently, applicants must submit their documents and have their fingerprints taken in person at the visa application center. The embassy reserves the right to require an interview.
