Saint Lucia citizenship by donation

Migration Program Details & Application

Program Overview

Project Description

• Policy Nature: Under St. Lucia's Citizenship by Investment Act 2015, applicants and their families can obtain citizenship and passports in one step by making a donation to the National Economic Fund (NEF). It requires no language or educational qualifications, and there are no mandatory residency or landing requirements.
• Minimum residency requirement: No residency requirement. Once approved, there is no need to log in to Saint Lucia; the entire process can be completed remotely and will not affect your life or work in your home country.
• Passport visa-free access: Visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to approximately 150 countries and regions worldwide, including the Schengen Area of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong and Singapore, offering great convenience.
• Tax-friendly: As a non-global taxation country, it has no inheritance tax, gift tax, capital gains tax, or overseas income tax, which is beneficial for global asset allocation and tax planning.

Application Process & Advice

suggestion

• Beware of misleading advertising and hidden costs: The official website's minimum threshold is $100,000 (for remote businesses, extremely difficult to obtain), while the mainstream approach is a $240,000 donation to NEF (for a single person or a family of four). In addition to the principal, the total cost includes due diligence fees (approximately $7,500-$10,000 for the primary applicant), legal fees (approximately $15,000-$30,000), and other third-party expenses. It is recommended to prepare a total budget in advance (approximately RMB 1.7 million for a single applicant).
• Policy Considerations: Interviews must be conducted remotely online. The latest policy mandates remote interviews. It is recommended that you familiarize yourself with your application materials in advance to ensure that your claims regarding funding sources and background are consistent with the documents during the interview.
• Phased payments reduce risk: Most payments are made in phases. Usually, the first payment is made after the background check is passed, and the investment principal is transferred after receiving the "approval in principle letter". Pay attention to the payment requirements to ensure the safety of your funds.
• Standardized planning and transparent funding: There is no "fast track" or discounted rate for applicants with flawed records; any promises made under such circumstances are high-risk scams. Always choose an officially authorized and reputable immigration application agency.

Application process

• ① Preliminary preparation and eligibility assessment: Select a formal institution to assess the eligibility of the main applicant and accompanying family members, and plan the source of funds.
• ② Prepare and submit the application: Prepare documents such as passport, criminal record check, health certificate and proof of assets, and submit them to the Saint Lucia Citizenship by Investment Agency (CIU) after review by the authorized lawyer.
• ③ Background checks and verification: CIU conducts rigorous third-party background checks, during which materials for remote video interviews must be prepared.
• ④ Obtaining Approval in Principle: After the review is approved, the applicant will receive an approval in principle letter from the Residence Bureau. Maintain the investment, keep the business operating, and pass the subsequent residency verification.
⑤ Complete investment donations: Payment methods are mostly carried out in stages (e.g., the application stage, after approval in principle) to reduce the risk of capital occupation.
• ⑥ Obtain citizenship and passport: Receive the Saint Lucia citizenship registration certificate and a full set of passport documents, officially becoming a citizen of a Commonwealth country.
