According to the latest policy (updated April 2026), Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports can enter Turkey visa-free for tourism, but those engaged in business activities still need to apply for a visa in advance.

Application requirements

• Passport requirements: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay and must have blank pages.
• Purpose and Requirements: Possess an official invitation letter issued by a Turkish company, clearly stating the purpose of the visit, itinerary, and information about both companies.
• Financial requirements: Documents proving the ability to cover all expenses during the stay in Türkiye are required.
• Compliance requirements: It is strictly forbidden to enter the country on a visa-free tourist visa to engage in business activities; otherwise, deportation and fines will be imposed.

Application Process & Advice

suggestion

1. Authentic and compliant documents: When entering the country, truthfully state the purpose of business and prepare the invitation letter, accommodation and return booking confirmation for inspection.
2. Pay attention to timeliness and type:
• Short-term business: For stays of ≤30 days and single entry, e-visas can be applied for online and are usually issued within 24 hours without an interview.
• Long-term/multiple-entry business travel: A sticker visa or residence permit must be applied for through the embassy or consulate.
3. Use official channels: Be sure to apply through the official website of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (www.evisa.gov.tr). The Turkish Embassy and Consulates in China have not authorized any intermediaries to handle visa procedures.
