UK business visa
Migration Program Details & Application

Program Overview
The UK tourist visa (Standard Visitor Visa) is currently the most frequently applied-for type of visa by applicants from China. It is typically issued to applicants who intend to stay in the UK for no more than six months for tourism, visiting relatives, friends, or business purposes. The following outlines the application requirements, core documents, and specific procedures.
---
A. Project Description: What kind of visa is this?
The Standard Visitor Visa is the main visa type in the UK for short-term visitors, covering the following purposes:
• Individual travel: sightseeing, vacation, visiting friends
• Visiting relatives: Visiting relatives or partners living in the UK
Business activities: attending conferences, business negotiations, short-term training, etc.
• Short-term study: Participating in short-term courses (such as language classes) lasting no more than 30 days.
⚠️ Key Update for 2026: Full Electronic Visa
From February 25, 2026, all newly approved UK visitor visas will be issued electronically, replacing the traditional paper visa stickers. Upon approval, you will receive an electronic visa certificate, which you will need to manage and view through your UKVI account.
---
B. Required qualifications for applicants
Under UK immigration rules, you need to prove that you are a "genuine visitor," which includes:
1. Clear purpose of visit: The activities you plan to engage in in the UK must be within the scope permitted by your visa (such as tourism or visiting relatives).
2. Intention to depart on schedule:
You must leave the UK after your visit.
• You won't make the UK your long-term residence through frequent, continuous visits.
3. Proof of sufficient funds: You have sufficient funds to cover all expenses for the entire visit, including round-trip transportation, accommodation and daily living expenses, and you will not be working in the UK or relying on public funds.
4. Strong ties with China: You have compelling reasons to return to China, such as having a stable job, property, family, or studies.
---
